Holiday / Winter Shades by Jior Couture

Good morning, my dolls!  I have three, count 'em, THREE shades from the Holiday/Winter 2013 line by indie polish company Jior Couture up for review today!  Awesome sauce!

First up is Bonjour Hens.  It's a fun white jelly base with black diamond glitter and silver and gold hex glitter.  I don't usually have good luck getting larger glitters out of the bottle to apply, but this one was surprisingly easy! This shows it with 3 thin coats and a topper of Seche Vite for some extra shiny goodness.

Next up is a berry pink base with golden glass fleck glitter called Lady Dancer.  It is absolutely stunning and perfect if you want just a touch of that little something extra!  Very easy to apply too...it's like there's nothing extra in the base, which makes it so smooth!

Last up is the best ever gold and silver glitter bomb on the planet!  OhMega!  I decided to try it over Lady Dancer and make a Christmas tree shape.  I was inspired by b_jessica_3 on Instagram...she's amazeballs!  OhMega is a clear base with micro and small gold and silver glitters.  STUH-NING!  It reflects off of everything and I got so many compliments on it!  I used 2 coats for my trees here.  You must try this one!

There are several more from this Jior Couture collection that I want to get my hands on!  A couple of them are Drumline, RainSnow and Peppermint Bark.  What's the verdict?  Do you "lacq" it or leave it?

Holiday Rebel by Sinful Colors

Hello, happy peeps!  It's Friday!  Yeah, buddy!  I hope you have some polishing happening over the weekend...I know I do!  Today I've swatched Holiday Rebel from the Break the Ice Collection by Sinful Colors.

Holiday Rebel is a glitter topper with small green glitter, and medium red and holographic hex glitters.  Holographic?  Yes!  I'd love to see more of them in here, but it was still super fun to look at! I layered 2 coats over a coat of Signed in Wine by Finger Paints and the accent of White on White by Sally Hansen.I need to get out of my box and try it over a color that doesn't exist in the polish or white.  I'll get there, friends, I promise!  Check out the holo goodness!

This next picture is with the flash.  I forgot to turn it off before I started my photos and I liked the way it looked, so you get that one too!

As usual, what say you about this holiday polish?  Would you "lacq" it or leave it?

Snow Angel by Landlia Polish

Hello nail fanatics!  Today I have up a nail polish called Snow Angel by Landlia Polish.  Landlia is owned by a husband and wife team, Dustin and Shannon, and they are truly awesome!  Be sure to check them out!

When I first saw Snow Angel I was just like the rest of you...white on white?  What's so special about that?  Let me tell you that I am a believer after this polish!  It really does remind me of falling snow with it's subtle white glitters, although I chose to go a different route with the theme of my manicure.  It applies like a dream and dries quickly in thin coats.  I used 2 coats on my nails and decided to go back on the tips with an additional two coats for a super simple french manicure.  I added some water decals that I made to top it off and added a top coat of Seche Vite...I love the way this came out!

So then, my pretties...what say you?  Do you "Lacq" it or leave it?

Jior Couture Nail Lacquer - Cat's Corn-er

My first official post!  Woot, woot!  Who's got 2 (beautifully polished) thumbs and is super excited?  This gal!  I'm especially excited because of the awesome sauce indie polish I'm sharing today.

Cat's Corn-er by Jior Couture is a thermal scented polish.  Yes, I said thermal AND scented!  It totally smells like any polish while applying, but after it's dry?  CANDY CORN!  I'm sure I look like a total freak walking around randomly sniffing my nails.  It makes me think of Superstar and Mary Katherine Gallagher!
On to the good stuff!  This polish goes on like buttah.  I used 2 medium coats with a topper of Seche Vite...and it was perfection!  It's a dark, chocolaty brown when cold and orange when warmed completely.  The holographic micro glitter takes it that one step farther; to magnificence!  Here is a little video of the color change I made and posted on IG.  It was so fun to drive down the road and stick my ark out the window to make it cold just so I could bring it back in to warm it up.  The process was repeated over and over.  My husband definitely thinks I've lost it!

So, what do you think?  Would you "lacq it" or "leave it?"  I definitely LACQ IT in a huge way!
