First, let me say hello!  I missed everyone.  I was missing for a good reason...or two good reasons.  My baby had her babies!  Twins!  I now have a grandson and a granddaughter.  They came 2 months early and had to stay at the hospital for 6 weeks, of which I wasn't allowed to visit.  Talk about torture.  They are home and doing so good.  I know you want to see a picture, me finally getting my hands on them for the first time.  Jaxson Ness & Jayden Kyrie, my first grand babies!  I told you it was a good reason.

OK, on to what you were really here for; September's Polish Pickup!  The theme is my favorite...Halloween!  I eased back into swatching so I didn't get overwhelmed after such a long break, so we have just a few of the pretties from this month's offerings.  Let's get right to them!

Flirtin' | Polka Face Pumpkin

Polka Face Pumpkin, like it's inspiration, is a mix and match of different styles and sizes of neon and holo glitters to create a "hollow" grouping design.  This yellow crelly is a fun, bright party in the light and has a spooky moon like glow in the dark!  Shown in 3 coats with matte top coat (I added glossy to the nail macro as well).  There was no issue getting glitters onto the brush and nail, no fishing required!

Jior Couture | By the Light of the Moon

By the Light of the Moon was inspired by young witches. A gray crelly with crystal chameleon flakes and a soft reddish yellow moonlight glow in the dark effect.  The glow on this one was super surprising, in a very good way.  Just look at it!  I never would have expected the red glow in a gray flakie polish and I love it!  Shown in 3 coats with glossy top coat.

JReine | Land of the Lost

Land of the Lost was inspired by Jill's fave, Marie Laveau.  Described as a swampy green base with a strong, vibrant red/gold/green glowing shift.  The shimmer in this is on point!  Totally packed to the brim!  Shown in 3 coats with glossy top coat.

JReine | Haunted Pixie Magic Kit

Also available this month is another gorgeous Pixie Magic Kit, this one called Haunted.  Inspired by haunted swamps, it is described as a powder with a beautiful sparkling gold to green to blue shift.  As always, the kit comes with .30 grams of powder by weight, 5ml bottle of Super Base and an applicator brush.The Super Base has been specially formulated to allow you to burnish these powders without the use of gel polish, UV lamps, or water based top coat.  Simply paint your nails with your desired base color, let dry thoroughly, add a thin coat of Super Base, let dry until tacky (I very gently touch with my finger to check before starting), apply powder with applicator, brush, or finger.  I use my finger to apply because I can get a better feel for how hard or soft I'm pressing.  Add any quick dry top coat and clean up.  I have discovered that you don't need to add top coat before you wash your hands to remove the excess powder from your fingers if you didn't use a latex barrier, just make sure everything is dry.  Shown over Midnight, a navy blue 1 coat creme.

LynBDesigns | Ghost Frequency

Ghost Frequency is inspired by the 19hz infrasound that is meant to make you see "ghosts".   Described as a black based green to purple shifting polish with green to copper to gold shifting UCC flakies and scattered holo micro flakies.  I hit my middle finger with a magnet and SURPRISE!  There's magnetic goodness up in there!  I just held it for about 10 seconds because I didn't want to confuse y'all since it's not described as a magnetic.  But just so you know, I got a line.  ;) BONUS!  Shown in 2 coats with glossy top coat.

LynBDesigns | Witch's Heart Wax Melt

Also available this month is Witch's Heart Wax Melt.  Described as a delightful blend of orange peel and peppercorn with hints of apple and mandarin, grounded in a base of vanilla and tonka bean.  I never know what something will smell like just by the description, especially if I'm not familiar with irl ingredients.  This is heavenly!  Plenty of fruity hints to satisfy me.  Not at all overpowering...highly recommended!

Pretty Beautiful Unlimited | Pumpkin Head

Pumpkin Head was inspired by a smoke filled jack-o-lantern.  Described as a a blackened purple base with holographic pigment and micro flakie, magnetic pigment and flakies that shift green to gold to violet, unicorn pigment and 2 types of crystal chameleon flakies.  What a stunning polish! I was slightly mesmerized in the sunshine!  Shown in 2 coats with glossy top coat.  You may want to use 2 coats of glossy top coat for a mirror like finish because of all those flakies.

Bewitching Brew - A spooky, bubbly, Halloween treat beginning with top notes of peach, apricot, and blackberries; middle notes of mandarin, cinnamon, and rose; and nicely balanced with just a hint of woodsy musk. 

Bite Me - Fresh citrus notes of lime and orange sparkle with effervescent highlights as they lead to a luscious blend of berry and cherry. Leafy green accents add intensity as a base of vanilla creates sweet tones.

Bonfires & Smores - Sweet marshmallow, honey and chocolate with a smoky hint of campfire come together in this unique blend.
